    Achilles Tendonitis

    (source : WebMD®)

Achilles tendonitis is a condition of irritation and inflammation of the large tendon in the back of the ankle. Achilles tendonitis is a common problem that tends to occur in athletes, lack of flexibility and over-pronation (foot rolling inwards) are main cause. Inflammation of the Achilles tendon develops gradually and cause burning or piercing pain, stiffness, mild swelling. often over-pronation (foot rolling inwards). A sudden change of routine activity or the higher level of exercise than the usual could cause the Achilles tendon. Any activities such as sitting or standing in the same position for a prolonged time can cause the inflammation by repeatedly stressing the tendon. Sustaining bad posture or wearing improper shoes during athletic activity can be the reason for the pain.

    Z-CoiL Footwear benefit :

The RX®-Orthotic helps to control over-pronation and supports the longitudinal arch, reducing the stress on your Achilles tendon. The heel coil also cushions the impact to your heel and tendon when you walk.
